Hey there. As you may know, I'm Dire. The crazy, music-addicted, over-analyzing kid with the glasses in the corner. Watching always. Anyway, I have many, many interests (I'm a rather nosy, curious troublemaker). Some of which are economics, politics, music, art, animation, and literature. My hobbies are, of course, drawing, reading, sleeping, procrastinating, being annoying, being creepy, lurking, giving my unwanted opinion, and being a brat. Yes sir. Oh, and listening to music.
All types of music really. I don't really have any particular style, but I do have some favorites that are dear to me. Like Johnny Cash. We hang tight, John and I. :3 I also enjoy Christian rock bands: such as Toby Mac, Skillet, and Thousand Foot Crutch. I've also recently found myself loving a newer country band called Ricochet. They aren't just limited to country, however. They do a lot of older country, newer country, some more rock-and-roll stuff, and a bit of jazz thrown into the mix. Very talented. You should check them out.
I am a human Ipod. Just give me the first few notes of a song and I can tell you the name of the song and who sings it. No words necessary, just the start of the music. So it would be best not to go against me in "Name That Song" when listening to the radio while driving down the road. I will take you down. Yes.
As insane as I may seem on the computer, I'm actually a fairly quiet person when you first meet me. I don't open up a lot and I'm very distracted, frequently caught daydreaming when reality no longer holds any real interest to me. I am a tom-boy, through and through. I have no care for fashion, boys, or the stupidity of my peers. Although I love to party and dance, I know my where my boundaries lie. You can have fun without drugs and achohol; a truth all of my once good friends have failed to realize. Once you get to know me, however, you'll find me to be smart-alecky, intelligent, and a wise-tail in real life. I love to tease people and give them a hard time: learn to laugh at yourself, people. Life wasn't meant to be stressful. Take me, for example. I'm having a downright good time in my insanity. (Usually saying something that doesn't make sense and backing it up with a self-phrase 'It makes sense if you don't think about it'.) I must admit I don't make much sense, but I promise you that if you keep an open mind when you're around me, we'lll have a grand old time. I love sci-fi and horror movies, but I am not at all emo or goth or whatever. I'm actually a dorky kid who loves sunshine and rainbows. 'Course my negative, sarcastic humor begs to differ. I'm somewhere between a happy-go-lucky person and a bad, riotous mastermind of trouble... I have my hyper moments. You should know this by now.
I'm a Christian, or a Baptist to be exact. But you know what, religion separates people, so I don't really care. Our relationship with God should be what brings us together, not what tears us apart. Spread the love, sweethearts, life on this earth is way too short. I'm typically not the kind of person to go out preaching to you or whatever. However, if you bring up the subject or vaguely/outwardly/obviously start talking about religion, God, and the Bible, I can't resist but jump on an oppurtunity. Just be aware it is not in my intention to offend, but simply teach truth and correct misdirected information, stereotypes, and insults. Unlike some people, I won't go out saying "You're all going to hell if you don't get saved!" or "You're a horrible, horrible sinner, and you need to repent of your sins. Doooommmm." No. I don't roll like that. Many people today have this misinterpretation of Christians. I know the Westboro Church has done some ridiculous things, but not all Christians are like that. I'm not going to shove it down your throat if you don't want it. I'm not perfect, just forgiven. Your flaws, your insecurities, the bad things you may have done... I do not care. I will not point them out, because I'm sure you're already aware of them, and the last thing you need is another person recognizing them too. We're floating in the same boat, you and I. We're both human. It is not my intent to insult or to imply I am some sort of godly messenger. Rather, I'm just a child who went searching for answers and found them, willing to share them with others if they want it (and if they need it). But enough of that, I'll be writing a book here soon if I don' stop, ha. Moving on...
The strange thing is I'm better at roleplaying dark characters than I am at good characters. I guess it's because this old world is starting to wear me down, so I've began to observe everyday demons. My awareness of the darkness in this world drives me to make characters that reflect that, so I can better understand and study my own demons, and learn how to overcome them, in a way. I'm also better at roleplaying males than females. Unless those females are tom-boyish, which most of my characters are. I don't know, I lean more toward the masculine attitude, but I'm completely straight, even for my lack of interest in dating and all that nonsense. It's not like you're dating someone to marry them at the grand age of twelve. Personally I find it pointless and pure foolishness. But that's just me. You are entitled to expressing your own opinion, just as I am mine.
I'll spare you from my many flaws, oddities, and strange habits for now and let you go on your way. If you've read this far, then you have just wasted a good amount of time of your life that you'll never get back. If you didn't have a life in the first place then I suppose you still won't have much of one now. This creative, crazy cat is now bored of pointlessly writing and has found a shiny object to play (and possibly harm herself) with. Fun fun fun.
From inside a cookie can, this is Dire, signing off. :3
