NAME: Rapidkit, Rapidpaw, Rapidclaw, Rapidstar

DESCRIPTION:
Rapidstar is a moderately sized male. He is pretty lanky though; longs legs and a slim body. The muscles in his back legs and his shoulders are very strong though. His fur is fairly short, but thick so he can hold some warmth. It is also really soft. Rapidstar's legs are, as said before, long and powerful. He is a tough feline, and will put up a good fight. His paws are average size, his claws are a bit longer than usual, and have a white tint to them. Rapidstar's paw pads are a smoky grey colour. His face is a rounded shape, not too narrow and not too wide. He has tall, wide ears which allow him to hear a bit better than the average cat. His whiskers are long and are a dull white hue. Rapidstar has an overall pelt colour that is an ashy grey, with small markings all over. His most distinct markings are on his chest and the right side of his face. Both markings are a copper orange colour, and stand out against his grey fur. Rapidstar has a very long tail, and it has abnormally long fur length compared to his main fur. His eyes are probably the most bold thing about him (physically, that is) They are both a striking yellow/amber colour. His emotions are displayed well with them, though.

PERSONALITY:
Rapidstar has a very very quick temper. If you piss him off, then you'd better run. He gets annoyed easily and doesn't react well to joking- he's a very serious cat. Rapidstar is strict when it come to the warrior code as well. He will not hesitate with consequences unless under certain circumstances. And because of this many apprentices are weary of him being their mentor. Though, he is tough, but he is a good mentor. Rapidstar takes huge pride in his clan and their abilities and becomes attached in a sense with his apprentices. Another thing, he is a VERY proud cat. Rapidstar will not take insults to his clan, or himself. Rapidstar does have a 'nice' side though ( Shadowclan cats aren't all evil, you know? (; ) When he becomes close to a cat, he his completely loyal. And he is a good friend, he is trustworthy and has been said to be a good help with others' problems. When it comes to being closer than friends, Rapidstar becomes cold. He is not willing to trust other cats easily, especially trust them to be his mate. Rapidstar is also judgmental and looks down upon the other three clans. He thinks his clan is the best, of course. He is completely against half clan and kittypets as members of his clan. If a member of his clan his not pure Shadowclan blood he treats them as lower than dirt basically. Rapidstar has a lot of respect, but that respect ends when it comes to matters of bloodline. Overall he is a decent cat though, and is true to the warrior code.

HISTORY:
Rapidstar was born into Shadowclan with a gentle mother, Doveflight, and a fierce father, Ravenheart. Unfortunately his mother died during birth. Rapidstar and his sister, Fernkit, were nursed back to health by a queen in the nursery. The kits were strong and healthy, they grew quickly. Soon, the siblings became Rapidpaw and Fernpaw. Fernpaw was a rebellious cat from the start. She got into trouble often as an apprentice. Rapidpaw was just about always arguing with his sister about her actions. Even as an apprentice he lived by the warrior code- seeing as he wanted to be the strongest, best warrior ever ( like most apprentices do ). As much as they argued, they were still very close. The two of them became warriors after some time. Rapidpaw was named Rapidclaw and Fernpaw was named Fernpelt. The siblings were extremely proud to be warriors, and were wonderful for their clan. Rapidclaw and Fernpelt often went on patrols or went hunting together. Their father, though had never recovered from the death of his mate and their mother. He became depressed and it ate away at him for some time. Slowly, he began to despise his own kits. His mindset was that they killed her, it was their fault. If she didn't live, then they wouldn't. Once they had become fairly experienced warriors their lives took a dangerous and tragic turn. Ravenheart waited for the two to go hunting together. When they were deep in Shadowclan territory he came racing to them. He claimed that there was a fight going on near the border. They followed their father immediately. When Rapidclaw and Fernpelt reached the border they looked around, confused. There were no cats here, and the scent of any cats were from an early morning patrol- the scent was hours old. Suddenly their father jumped out from some bushes. He lunged at Rapidclaw, and the warrior didn't know how to react. Their father clawed and hissed as if he was attacking an enemy from another clan. Rapidclaw struggled and Ravenheart's claws caught his throat. Rapidclaw fought as best he could, and he felt the weight lifted from his body. He looked up to see Fernpelt biting and clawing their father. He joined in to help her, but the tom was a strong warrior, even for his older age. The fight lasted for a while until Ravenheart found an advantage and got his jaws into Fernpelts neck. She cried out, and the sound was silenced as he bit down harder. Rapidclaw jumped onto his father, claws digging into the other cat's body. He finally got his father off of Fernpelt. Rapidclaw forgot his feelings for his father, and aimed for his neck. He met Ravenheart's throat and bit down, and held on as if his entire clan depended on it. His father clawed at his face but eventually stopped fighting, and went limp. Rapidclaw raced to his sister's side, licking her wounds. He promised her he would get her back to the clan, and that he'd make sure the medicine cat fixed her. Rapidclaw ran faster then ever before in his life for the camp. He went to the medicine cat and went back to Fernpelt. Her breath was shallow, and her eyes were glazed over in pain. Eventually Rapidclaw and Fernpelt got back to the camp with help from clanmates. Rapidclaw blacked out once he got to the medicine cat's den. He woke up later, scared and unaware of where he was. He remembered what had happened and went to his sister's side immediately. She was conscious, but barely. She started to look better after a few sunrises. But something went wrong and she couldn't hold onto her life. Rapidclaw was with his sister until the end. The clan took time to recover from the surprising act Ravenheart had commited and the death of Fernpelt. Rapidclaw was always a determined cat, but something died in him when his sister passed away. He was listless and cold for a very long time. Rapidclaw gained some of his own self back when he was given an apprentice to train. His first apprentice was a successful warrior, and Rapidclaw was beyond proud. To his surprise, when the previous leader died and the deputy took over the clan, he was chosen as the new deputy. Rapidclaw took on the position with pride and complete devotion. The leader recently passed on though, and Rapidclaw became Rapidstar, leader of Shadowclan. He has yet to pick a deputy, and lots to learn.
